Toledo Public Schools has added new hubs and new community partners as part of its increased
commitment to the Community Hubs initiative:

  • Scott High School-new partner in New Concepts
  • Reynolds Elementary-new partner in Pathway for Successful Leadership, new Hub Director
  • Rogers High School-new lead partner in Junior Achievement
  • Riverside Elementary-YMCA entering sixth year leading the hub
  • Jones Leadership Academy of Business-new hub led by Art Tatum Zone
  • Pickett Academy-new hub led by Art Tatum Zone

Community Hubs offer services to support the academic success of students, and to promote the health
and well-being of students and community members, including after-school programs, health centers
and behavioral health services. Hubs have teams of community leaders lending support to organize
events and engage the community, to eliminate barriers for students to succeed.

Last year, TPS operated four full-service hubs:

  • 59 events with nearly 10,000 community members
  • 49 community leaders volunteering to lead Hubs through Hub Advisory Teams
  • 683 visits to community closets for clothing and hygiene/school/household supplies
