Transportation

Families requesting transportation services for the 2024-2025 school year should submit their requests as soon as possible, as routing for the school year has already started. 


NOTE: You will need your student(s) 900# to apply for transportation services.


  • If you are new to the district, please register your student(s) at tps.org as soon as possible, as completion of registration will provide the 900# needed to request transportation services; OR


  • If you are a current TPS family and do not know your student’s 900#, please contact your students’ school for assistance. After June 22, 2024, please contact our Student Data office at (419) 671-0001.


All requests for transportation submitted after August 9, 2024 may take up to 2 weeks to be processed. For example, a request for transportation submitted on August 10, 2024 may not be routed until August 26, 2024.


Help us ensure a successful start to the beginning of the new school year by following the information provided below:


  • New families with students in Grades K-8 including elementary academies (Grove Patterson, Escuela, Stewart, King, and Old West End Academy) and reside one mile or more from their school of residence, must complete the General Education: Request for Transportation form;


  • Returning families with students in Grades K-8 including elementary academies (Grove Patterson, Escuela, Stewart, King, and Old West End Academy) currently receiving transportation that need to update their address AND reside one mile or more away from their school of residence must:



  • NOTE: families should note there are shuttle buses available for high school students. Please visit the Transportation: High School website after June 28, 2024 to find the updated shuttle information for the 2024-2025 school year.


  • Early Childhood/Preschool:

    • New families: Once your online application has been submitted, you will be contacted by a Family Support Partner. If determined eligible and space is available, a face-to-face meeting will be scheduled to complete additional enrollment paperwork. During this meeting, transportation will be discussed and paperwork will be completed if necessary.  

    • Returning families: Once your returning student online application has been submitted, you will be contacted by a Family Support Partner to complete the remaining re-enrollment paperwork. During this meeting, transportation will be discussed and paperwork will be completed if necessary. 


  • Families with students with disabilities:

    • All families of Early Childhood/Preschool students with disabilities will need to contact the Early Childhood Special Education Office at 419-671-8755. Please visit Early Childhood Education for more information.


  • All families of K-12 students with disabilities will need to contact the Student Assistance Center based on your home address. Please visit TPS: Special Education for contact information.
