Gabriella Hartsell and MacKenzie Weyer, fourth grade students at Garfield Elementary, have been putting that vision into action. Earlier this year they held a fundraiser by making special bracelets and selling them to benefit local homeless shelters.
The Sylvania American Legion post made a special presentation to those students on Monday, to thank them for their effort towards making a difference in the community in which
they live.
