Last school year, Woodward High School engaged in a cross-cultural social emotional exchange with Oak Harbor High School.
During this exchange, student leaders from Oak Harbor visited Woodward last fall to meet their counterparts. In the spring, Woodward’s student leaders visited Oak Harbor.
Through this experience, they learned that even though the student body, schools, and communities may appear different, in reality they are more similar than they knew.
So, when Oak Harbor’s football team recently played at Woodward, the schools commemorated the ongoing collaboration by their bands and cheerleaders, performing the HEY! cheer together between the first and second quarters of the game.
