District to Start Hybrid Schedule on October 12
Posted on 09/17/2020

Toledo Public Schools will be switching from Red Light status to Yellow Light status, starting in mid October.

This means students will attend school for in-person instruction two days a week and will continue online learning two days a week. Students will be divided into A and B groups, with the A group in classrooms on Mondays and Thursdays and the B group attending on Tuesdays and Fridays. Wednesdays will continue to be an intervention day for students and their teachers.

All social distancing and other safety protocols WILL BE enforced for both students and staff members.

The timeline for students to return to school is as follows:
Monday, October 12: All PreK through second grade students
Monday, October 26: All third through twelfth grade students

Along with serving as an intervention day, Wednesday will be the day for TPS staff members to complete Professional Development. That day will also give the building cleaning crews the opportunity to deep clean all locations - beyond the sanitization that will take place during the day and after school hours.

A number of health hygiene protocols will be mandated for all students and staff members, including daily temperature checks and wearing face coverings.

Schools will be communicating to families on whether their children are in the A or B group, wbut here is a calendar that shows when the groups will be in their classrooms: A/B Student Attendance Calendar
