Earl Vail was a 1915 graduate of Scott High School who excelled in track from 1912-1914. He first participated for Toledo High School until Scott opened during his last year. He ran the 100 yards in 10 seconds, setting a new record in 1914, and the 220 in 22.3 seconds. Vail also won championships at the city and state level in handball. Note the T on his uniform for Toledo High School.
