Students from Chase STEMM Academy joined City of Toledo officials, for the installation of two traffic signs to warn drivers to pay attention for wildlife in the area near the Manhattan Marsh Preserve Metropark.
Students began the project after taking a walk through the preserve and finding some painted
turtles which were ran over by motorists.
Learning about the design and engineering of the signs was a great part of the project for the
students.
