Toledo Public Schools is partnering with Buckeye Broadband to provide free internet services to TPS families that do not have Wi-Fi in their homes and meet several requirements. TPS Releases Draft Timeline For Fall Sports

After Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced that high school sports can take place this fall, district leaders developed the following tentative timeline: Fall Sports Timeline On or before September 25th, depending on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic in Toledo, administrators at Toledo Public Schools will announce plans for fall sports, including a schedule for football. District administrators will strictly follow the guidelines provided by the State of Ohio and will continue to monitor the health and well being of all student athletes throughout the fall and spring seasons. Registration Now Being Taken For Meals Delivered By TPS Buses

TPS To Start 2020-2021 School Year In Red Light Status

The Toledo Public Schools Board of Education approved a recommendation from Dr. Romules Durant, CEO/Superintendent, to start the 2020-2021 school year completely online. Known as the Red Light status, the all virtual environment will start on Tuesday, September 8, when all elementary and high school students will start classes. Please note: This is a later start date than announced earlier this year. Kindergarten students will start transitioning to learning the week of September 8 and their first full day of virtual learning will be Monday, September 14. When it is deemed safe to do so, Toledo Public Schools will move to a Yellow Light status, which will be a hybrid of in-person and remote learning. The district's students will be divided into A and B groups, with the A Group attending in-person classes on Monday and Thursday and the B Group attending in-person classes on Tuesday and Friday. TPS Releases First Phase Of Plan For 2020-2021 School Year

Administrators for Toledo Public Schools have released the first phase of their plans for the 2020-2021 school year. The major announcement made on July 10 was that all students will be on an AB schedule when classes resume after having been closed in March to slow the spread of the coronavirus. That essentially means that half of the students will be in class on Mondays and Thursdays and the other half will be in school on Tuesdays and Fridays. There will be no students in school buildings on Wednesday so they can be deeply cleaned.
