Terry Crosby

Terry Crosby

It is hard to imagine anyone who excelled more in two sports in the Toledo City League than Terry Crosby.  Born in 1957, Crosby began a love of football at an early age and was soon nicknamed Touchdown Terry in elementary school.

Crosby led DeVilbiss to back-to-back Shoe Bowl City League championships in 1973 and 1974, and made the All-City teams in both football and basketball his sophomore year. He was the first junior in TPS to be named All Ohio in basketball. During November 1974, Crobsy led the team to an incredible football win over St. John’s High School to clinch the championship title, then transitioned over to basketball a few days later and scored 38 points against Scott High School.

Despite numerous offers, Crosby elected to play basketball at the University of Tennessee and later played for the Kansas City Kings. His talent led him to Europe where he played professional basketball. Crosby currently resides in Toledo and is the community ambassador for the Taylor Automotive Family.
