TPS CEO/Superintendent Dr. Romules Durant was on hand on November 9, 2023 to thank the Yark Automotive Group for donating a 2014 Ford Focus vehicle. The care will be utilized by Start High School’s Auto Tech Program.
The program provides students classroom and hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing
customer vehicles using the latest technologies for engines, brakes, steering and suspension,
body, frame and vehicle computers.
Students have the opportunity to graduate with the entry-level knowledge required for
immediate employment in the auto tech field.
According to Indeed.com, the average salary for an automotive technician in Ohio is $23/hour,
and there are currently more than 3,000 automotive technician jobs available in Ohio.
