The Toledo Pre-Medical and Health Science Academy will be adding 7th and 8th grade classes at the start of the 2024-25 academic year.
On Halloween, Dr. Durant put on the scrubs and treated himself to spending a day at the school, to highlight the opportunities available to students from across NW Ohio.
The Toledo Pre-Medical and Health Science Academy is a 4-year high school created through a partnership between Toledo Public Schools and ProMedica for students who are passionate about a career serving others in health care.
The academy focuses on Biomedical Science, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Nursing and Health Science fields. Upon graduation, students have the opportunity to begin an entry-level career in the medical field or choose to attend college and further their education.
Students are able to work toward and obtain the following certifications: Medical Assisting, Pharmacy Technician, STNA, Athletic Training, Surgical Sterilization Specialist, ECG
Technician, and X-Ray Technician.
