The message to high school students during prom and graduation season is: don’t drink and drive. Bowsher High School and UTMC partnered to host a mock car crash event.
Emergency personnel will re-enacted what happens at a car crash and that many to will involve, police, fire, EMT, and air rescue. The program is designed to highlight the dangers of impaired driving. According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, on average one teenager
dies each hour in a car crash in the United States, and nearly half of those crashes involve alcohol.
