Organizers of the Special Olympics at Toledo Public Schools have hit upon a unique way to raise funds for the program and they’re asking for help from TPS schools and area businesses.

Most schools have collection drives underway but now local companies are being asked to participate. All they have to do is to save the caps from plastic water and pop bottles and then drop them off at the nearest TPS school.

The goal, by the end of the school year, is to fill a semi-truck with the caps that will then be turned over to a recycler for cash. All money raised will be used for the TPS Special Olympics.
