Toledo Public Schools and Partners in Education have joined together to explore the idea of creating a Parent University.

The last of three discovery sessions for anyone interested in learning more about the concept of such a 'university' will be held on Tuesday, February 24, from 11 a.m. until noon at the Kent Branch Library, 3101 Collingwood Blvd.

A successful Parent University aims to equip families with the skills and resources needed to make their children college and career ready. That is done by providing a variety of classes and workshops that prepare parents and guardians to be more involved with their students, the schools and the community.

People interested in coming to this last discovery sessions are asked to RSVP to Jennifer Kephart, executive director of Partners in Education, by e-mailing her at jkephart@partnerstoledo.org or by calling 419-242-2122.
