Andre Miller, a senior at Scott High School, is a member of the 2016 Disney Dreamers Academy.
He was one of three Ohio students -- and one of a total of 100 students nationwide - who were selected for the ninth annual Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey and ESSENCE. The students last week traveled to the Walt Disney World Resort during an all-expenses-paid, four-day trip to "engage in immersive experiences and listen to renowned entrepreneurs and business leaders, teaching them how to take action on their dreams and turn them into reality."
Andre's bio for the program reads, "I am 17 years old and a senior at Scott High School. I am from California and currently living in Toledo, Ohio. As life goes on, I plan on going to college and doing a double major in graphic design and business management.
"I also plan on starting my own company before I finish college. I’m not sure exactly what kind, but I am interested in street fashion and sports, so maybe I will end up with something bigger than Nike. I also love working on things that challenge my mind because action is the fundamental to success."
