In a continuing effort to keep employees of Toledo Public Schools -- and the public -- informed on compensation increases based on negotiations, several more documents have been added to this article. They are:
- · TAAP salary grid and longevity table
- · Examples of TAAP employee compensation increases
- · Paraprofessional salary scale
To date, TAAP members have ratified their fact-finding report and the Board has approved. The district and members of AFSCME members have a tentative agreement which is scheduled for ratification this coming Monday, July 27th.
The fact finding report was deemed accepted by TFT and the Board has approved and made an additional offer to TFT of a 0.5% increase to ensure all bargaining units’ compensation increases are comparable. The district provided TFT leadership with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday, July 17th, explaining the offer. If accepted by TFT leadership, the MOU will be presented to the Board for approval at a special board meeting on Friday, July 31st.
Employees in the district's three unions - TAAP, TFT and AFSCME - will, on average, receive a 4.6% pay increase. Individual employee raises within each bargaining unit will differ, however, because of union-negotiated salary scales that take into consideration years of service. Please see below for comparisons that illustrate the breakdown of increases for each union.
Below, please find a copy of the current salary schedule for TFT members and examples of how the new increase will impact employees at different levels on the salary scale. There are also links to the fact finder reports for TFT and TAAP, as well as the Board resolutions that were approved on Monday, July 13, 2015. The additional files posted on July 24, 2015, are marked with that date for easy reference.
