Maria and Jose' Luna

We have enjoyed helping young people learn and grow through our years at Toledo Public Schools.

Maria Luna, Distance Learning Lab facilitator at Bowsher High School

In addition to her work with TPS students, Maria published a collection of poems in 2014 entitled Journey of Two Souls.

Jose Luna, coordinator of Bilingual Education and Related Programs

Jose likes to joke that he is the Office of Hispanic Outreach.

In addition to his job of working with the Hispanic students of the district, he has published a cookbook of his mother's recipes entitled 5 Delicious Tex-Mex Dishes You Can Make in 1 Hour or Less in 1 Pan. For his dedication in helping children, Jose' has received the Diamante Award, the Cesar Chavez Award and was recognized at the Bowling Green State University Latino Issues Conference.

He was also among the honorees at the 2012 Calla Lily Awards.
