The Head Start staff of Toledo Public Schools has organized a Healthy Walk and Fair for families interested in learning more about the district's Head Start, Preschool and Kindergarten programs.

The event is being held at the Woodward High football stadium from 1 to 4 p.m. this Saturday, April 18. The school is located at 701 E. Central Ave.

All current Head Start students and their families are invited – as is anyone interested in signing up a child to attend one of the programs this fall.

Head Start staff members will be on hand to answer questions and there will be a variety of booths with information about raising happy, healthy children.

In addition, a Discover TPS Kindergarten night is set for Tuesday, May 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. at all TPS elementary schools. The open houses will be a chance for parents and guardians to learn about the district's kindergarten program and meet the teachers and principals at the school their child will be attending. In addition, families can tour the school and register on the spot for the fall. Any child who turns 5 on or before Sept. 30, 2015 is eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall.
