Toledo Early College High School
For the 2016-17 academic year, school begins at 9:05 a.m. and will dismiss at 3:45 p.m.
Toledo Early College High School offers a college preparatory program that focuses on college readiness and 21st Century skills. Whether you will pursue a degree in the Liberal Arts or STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Medicine), Toledo Early College will prepare you for your future.
Our curriculum is designed to accelerate students into college courses at the University of Toledo, beginning in freshman year. TECHS also offers a STEM program partnering with ProMedica and the University of Toledo with a primary focus on medicine and the health care professions. Students take two years of English, up to three years of mathematics and science and two years of Social Studies at the high school level. All other courses, including health and physical education, foreign languages and electives, are taken at the University of Toledo.
Students can earn up to 60 college credits during the four-year high school experience. College-level courses and required textbooks are provided at no cost to students. College courses qualify for dual credits, allowing them to be counted for high school and college credits. Students will earn credits that will be recorded officially on TPS and UT transcripts.
